Honda HRU196 Restored to One-Pull Starting

A tired Honda mower came in hard to start and surging. After fuel system work, blade service and a full inspection, it was back to reliable mowing.

The Problem

The mower had been sitting with old fuel and would only start after repeated pulling. It surged under load and left an uneven finish.

What We Did

  • Drained stale fuel and inspected the tank
  • Cleaned the carburettor and fuel passages
  • Changed oil and checked spark plug condition
  • Sharpened and balanced the blades
  • Completed a running and safety check

The Outcome

The mower returned to reliable starting, smoother running and a cleaner cut. The customer was given simple fuel storage advice to help prevent the same problem returning.
