πͺ Common Problems
Problems We Can Help With
Wonβt Cut Properly
A dull chain, incorrect tension, worn bar or poor lubrication can make cutting slow and unsafe.
Hard Starting
Chainsaws often suffer from stale fuel, blocked carburettors, perished fuel lines or plug issues.
Chain Not Oiling
Blocked oil ports, oil pump issues or incorrect bar setup can stop the chain from receiving lubrication.
Poor Idle or Stalling
A saw that stalls, bogs or races may need tuning, cleaning or fuel system attention.
Clutch or Drive Issues
Worn clutch parts and drive sprockets can affect chain movement and safety.
Safety Check Needed
Chain brakes, chain catchers and guards should be checked before regular use.
What We Do
What Is Included
Chain Sharpening & Setup
We can sharpen chains, set tension and inspect the bar and sprocket condition.
Fuel System Cleaning
Old fuel and blocked carburettors are common chainsaw faults and can often be restored.
Bar Oil System Checks
We check bar oil flow and common blockages so the chain runs properly lubricated.
Operational Safety Inspection
Controls, guards, chain brake function and general condition are checked during service.
Sharper, safer and easier-starting chainsaws
A chainsaw that is hard to start, cuts slowly or fails to oil the chain is more than frustrating β it can be unsafe. We look at the saw as a complete system: chain, bar, sprocket, fuel, spark, compression, oiling and safety features. The goal is to return the saw in a condition that is easier to use and safer to operate.
Why chainsaw maintenance matters
A sharp chain reduces load on the engine, improves cut control and makes the saw safer. Correct oiling protects the bar and chain from heat and wear. Fuel system maintenance prevents rough running and helps avoid expensive downtime, especially after long periods of storage.
Honest repair advice
Not every machine is worth repairing. If a repair is likely to cost more than the machine is worth, we will tell you upfront and explain your options before you spend money unnecessarily.
