Two-stroke fuel basics
Two-stroke machines rely on the correct oil mix for lubrication. Too little oil can damage the engine. Too much oil can cause smoke, carbon build-up and poor running.
Workshop tips
- Always follow the machine or oil manufacturer recommendation.
- Use a clean fuel container dedicated to two-stroke mix.
- Shake the container before filling the machine.
- Do not guess the oil amount.
- Clearly label the container with the mix ratio.
When in doubt, ask before filling the tank. Incorrect fuel can quickly become an expensive mistake.
